About Puppy Classes
Bringing home a new puppy is exciting and fun—who doesn’t love puppy playtime and wet kisses? With that said, figuring out how to raise a healthy, well‑behaved pup can feel overwhelming. Our puppy classes give your new furry friend a solid start on basic commands and socializing with people and other dogs, and equip you with the tools to help your puppy grow into a happy, calm and confident adult dog.

Puppy Classes
Puppy classes are offered in a group format. All classes are held at the Pet Behavior Help Training Center.
Puppy Socialization
This class is for any puppy 9 – 16 weeks old. Puppies start learning the moment you bring them home, so it’s important to start training right away.
In this class, we focus on building a positive relationship with your puppy during the early stages of their development. We emphasize puppies’ engagement and connection with their owners; safe, positive socialization; and building confidence through exploration. You’ll also get answers to lots of common puppy questions, including house training, crate training and more.
Note: This class has rolling admission. Start when you get your puppy!
Senior Puppy Class
This class is for any puppy 4 – 7 months old at the start of class.
This class helps you teach your puppy emotional self-control and guides you regarding appropriate expectations as your puppy continues to grow and mature.
In this class, we cover basic commands and skills, including:
- Sit
- Down
- Attention to Name
- Come
- Beginning Leash Walking
- Socialization
- Non-Socialization (when to pay attention to the handler)
