PBH Disc Dog Workshops with Eric Miller
Eric's disc dog career spans more than 28 years as a competitor, performer, judge, and instructor. He is the co-founder and director of the Hyperflite Skyhoundz North Carolina Canine Disc Dog State Championship. Eric and his canine partners have won several local, state and regional competitions, and have performed at numerous state fairs, sporting events, and industry trade shows throughout the country. His dogs are featured in two popular books on the sport: Frisbee Dogs: How to Raise, Train and Compete, and Skyhoundz Images.
Disc Dog Workshop
July 8: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
This hands-on workshop, geared toward beginner/intermediate handlers and their canine counterparts, covers the basics of toss and fetch, and canine motivation. Handlers will learn how to throw, and dogs will learn how to track, catch, and retrieve the disc.
Dogs over six months, UTD on shots, well-behaved, and with some basic obedience training and handlers 12 yrs. to adult may enroll.
Seminar will be held RAIN or SHINE at the PBH Training Center in a fully-fenced 190 x 90 foot grass field or in the 50 x 50 covered arena.
Please bring your dog with current vaccination records, water, cleanup bags, small towel, leash, long-line (if dog has poor recall), crate,
and a dog-safe disc. Discs will also be available from the instructor for $5-$15 each or at skyhoundz
Cost: $80 per dog per day – feel free to enroll in more than one!
